The Donor Support Foundation approached us with a vision to build their brand from the ground up. As a nonprofit providing financial aid, housing, education, and advocacy for living organ donors, they needed a logo and branding that symbolized infinite life and the power of giving. Our challenge was to create a visual identity that would resonate with a nationwide audience of donors, recipients, and supporters, while also driving engagement through a user-friendly website and impactful marketing materials.
Donor Support Foundation: Infinite Life Through Giving
My Approach
The Donor Support Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to assisting living organ donors, sought a brand identity that conveyed the infinite impact of life through giving. They needed a complete branding solution, from logo design to product packaging and a comprehensive website. Our goal was to create a cohesive visual narrative that symbolized the continuous growth and impact of their mission.
Vision and Innovation
We explored multiple design avenues for the logo, eventually finding inspiration in the Japanese concept of Ensō—a single, continuous brushstroke symbolizing the union of an empty mind and a full heart. This led us to morph the Ensōinto an infinity symbol, representing infinite life and continuous, imperfect growth through giving.
The logo combines this symbolic infinity loop with a handwriting-style font, staying true to the brushstroke origins, and sets the stage for the rest of the branding. For the website and marketing materials, we chose clean, neutral sans-serif fonts to ensure accessibility and clarity for a wide audience.
Identifying Unique Challenges
The Donor Support Foundation’s target audience—living organ donors nationwide—required a branding solution that could resonate with people across different demographics. This design needed to reflect the selflessness and continuous growth involved in living organ donations while appealing to donors and potential recipients alike.
Resolving Complex Problems
The foundation was starting from scratch, making it essential to create a versatile and comprehensive branding kit. In addition to a custom logo, we produced business cards, an e-commerce website, a full social media campaign, printed marketing materials for hospitals, and packaging for various donor-related products. With no previous brand recognition, we focused on ensuring the logo’s messaging and design had an immediate, lasting impact.
Results and Achievements
While there were no direct comparisons to prior brand metrics, the foundation saw incredible success following the launch. Website traffic surged to over 2 million unique visitors within the first year, and the foundation experienced significant increases in donations and brand awareness. Our work earned the logo multiple design awards and a US Trademark, marking this as one of our most impactful collaborations to date.
User-Centric Design
Our design ensured that the foundation’s website and branding resonated with their target audience—living donors and supporters. The site’s intuitive navigation and e-commerce capabilities made it easy for people to donate, volunteer, or engage with their cause. Meanwhile, the marketing collateral, including business cards and product labels, reinforced the foundation's presence in both medical institutions and the general public.

From the award-winning logo design to the expansive branding kit, the result was a powerful and cohesive brand identity that effectively captured the foundation’s mission.
